A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965) Key master set-up of Charlie Brown and Lucy Van Pelt. Taken from this Christmas Classic where 'tis the Season to be Jolly, Charlie Brown is a little down because he feels the Christmas message has been lost with all of the commercial hustle and bustle. Lucky for all, Psychiatrist Lucy has the answer: Get involved with the school play! This is precisely that scene where Charlie unburdens himself and Lucy provides him with the answer, which occurs at 05:11 into the film. The pan background is beautifully rendered in warm winter snows of blues and grays and the delicate doctor-patient relationship of these two characters are captured wonderfully. The tree in the middle of the piece is cut out and placed on top of the cels, which makes for a more three dimensional representation of this pivotal scene. The size of the artwork as visible in the aperture measures 9" x 21" while the frame measures 15" x 27". Framing was done prior to its arrival at WWA thus the list price is reflective of cel art only--the piece comes with the frame pictured. There is no change in price due to the frame--it can be de-framed upon request at purchase but will not change the price of the piece.
There is a miniscule amount of glue residue beneath the upper branches of the center tree, as this portion of the hand painted background is on top of the cel..
The size of this piece is Pan and the size of the image is 2.75" h x 4.25" w. US$ 19500 (framed) PNMJL1
