In the 80s, Japanese and American pop culture drew inspiration from one another. Hello Kitty and Anime permeated the US, while Japan got a taste of MTV and the bubblegum pop playfulness of My Little Pony and Care Bears. This Sweet Streets exhibition will explore the symbiotic relationship between American and Japanese 80s pop culture and its continuing influence today through art, fashion and music.

Opening Reception: Saturday, 19th, 2011 from 7- 10pm
On View: November 19th - December 23rd

Art from the Sweet Streets Show is not eligible for our Holiday Promotion.
